Information for Foreign Medical Graduate Applicants


A foreign medical graduate who wishes to apply for the Department of Neurology must fulfill the following requirements:

  • Passed Step 1 and Step 2 of the USMLE
  • A valid ECFMG certificate
  • A minimum of three months direct patient care experience in the U.S. or Canada under the supervision of an U.S. or Canadian physician - observerships are not accepted
  • Three letters of recommendation from U.S. or Canadian physicians who are familiar with the applicant's clinical skills

The Department of Neurology accepts applications through the ERAS system only.

The following documents must be submitted:

  • USMLE or COMLEX score reports
  • Three letters of recommendation from U.S. or Canadian physicians
  • Curriculum Vitae
  • Personal Statement
  • Dean's Letter
  • Official Medical School Transcript
  • Valid ECFMG certificate
